The collection contains 5 folders relating to the Haverford students, staff, and faculty's reaction to the 2016 election between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. The items contained within the folders shed light on what Haverford was like in the days and weeks leading up to and immediately following the election, and how the students specifically were reacting to it through poems, letters, activism, community events, and most notably, art.

The 2016 election was a pivotal point in American history. The decision between voting for Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump galvanized and polarized America beyond the microcosm of politics. It spread to the economy and the country's culture as well. Donald Trump won this election, and afterward the country experienced an undeniable shift in many ways that were unprecedented.
